Sage Lodge Destination Wedding
Christa and Mike were married at Sage Lodge just outside of Yellowstone National Park’s North Entrance in Paradise Valley Montana.
Originally the couple was planning a wedding for 175 in the Columbia River Gorge Labor Day weekend 2020. However, by June it was becoming clear that Covid restrictions were not going away any time soon and that travel would be very difficult for the majority of their guests who would be coming from Bozeman, Montana. Mike’s mother and sister sprung into action and found Sage Lodge which the couple booked sight unseen. Katy from Bridal Bliss helped them transition to the new location. I was so honored when they asked me to stay on as part of the wedding team. Loading up the Blum van with flowers, vessels and an incredible cake from Dreamcakes I hit the road to drive the 800 miles a few days before the wedding! Once in Montana I sourced the majority of the flowers from local farms to ease my stress and also give an accurate representation of the colors, textures and feel of the area. The local scabiosa and bunny tail grasses were my favorites! If you ever have the opportunity to travel to this part of the country do it!
Congratulations Christa and Mike! Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of this adventure! I will truly never forget such a beautiful experience.
